For the first time in almost 20 years, there’s a new town centre heritage trail leaflet for Solihull.

Created by library staff at the Core Library, with support from Touchwood and Solihull BID, the leaflet is available from The Core, from Touchwood’s information desk in the Crescent Arcade, and from the BID gazebo in Solihull High Street every Thursday in August.

To celebrate the launch of the trail leaflet, there will a be a free guided walk following part of the trail route. The walk will last around 75-90 minutes and will set off from the Core foyer on the following dates:

  • Saturday 10th August, 10:30am
  • Thursday 15th August, 5.30pm

The walk will cover the pedestrianised areas of the town centre – Touchwood, the High Street, Mill Lane, Mell Square, Drury Lane and The Square. The route is flat and paved throughout and is suitable for wheelchair users. Regrettably, no dogs (other than assistance dogs) are permitted on the walk.

Places are limited and advance booking is essential. Please email heritage@solihull.gov.uk or phone 0121 704 6977 to reserve a place.
